David Hodges was promoted from a Year 3 position at an independent school to the principal role at Beachport Primary School because of his reputation for being a ‘wonderful educator’, and, ever since, the new school community has been appreciating his dedication and vision. With a whole career ahead of him, as he is still in his early 30s, Hodges is considered ‘an inspiring leader’, who is influencing his new school to make significant changes. This includes a strong focus on improved learning outcomes for children, as well as the professional growth of his staff. Hodges began his career at The Hills Christian Community School, where he rose to become co-ordinator of school improvement before his move to Beachport.
