HAVE YOUR SAY: How should teachers best utilise digital devices to improve student learning outcomes?

The OECD report is an interesting read but really didn’t shed any new light. It was all summed up in the forward. in these two quotes:
    1. 'The impact of technology on education delivery remains sub-optimal, because we may overestimate the digital skills of both teachers and students, because of naïve policy design and implementation strategies, because of a poor understanding of pedagogy.'
    2. 'adding 21st-century technologies to 20th-century teaching practices will just dilute the effectiveness of teaching.'

Surprise surprise, it takes deep thinking and planning to bring about real educational change. For some to throw the baby out with the bath water is very shallow thinking.
