Teachers better trained online, but how prepared are they for the classroom?

Do you think online training (rather than face-to-face training) makes a difference to overall teaching quality?

Not necessarily. Both online courses and face-to-face lectures can be equally effective - providing that the way the information being delivered is comprehensible and directly relevant to the student's impending experience in the classroom. If the number of prospective teachers begin opting for online courses rather than lecture halls in significant droves, then the quality (and method?) of lecturers might need to be examined more closely.
