Private schools reject union’s funding claims

Private schools have hit out at an analysis of MySchool data which claims that funding to private schools is double that given to public schools.

    Of course the independent schools would question the data. If the methodology is correct then a comparison of funding per student is much more meaningful than a funding amount per sector as public schools fund the vast majority and have been left behind for too long. Hence a figure that simply quotes the increase in funding per sector does not indicate anything about how much each child receives.

    People seem to miss the point that Australia doesn't have the money to resource the labour govt excesses. Gonski himself gets nicely misquoted and then the totally non-independent AEU wants us to believe their maths.
