Typed NAPLAN essays will cause major equity issues for students without computers at home, warns the professor who co-led the national curriculum review.

I would like to see the NAPLAN online issue discussed more fully with teachers and principals being asked for input. Not all students, advantaged or disadvantaged, perform at their best online. It is not only writing but also reading and the other strands. From observation, children get tired and become restless more quickly when reading online compared to reading a hard copy.
