What do you think of the Abbott Government's change to the National School Chaplaincy Program?

As this is a polite forum, I'll reply in that vein! Public School Principals/schools and P&C's should boycott this program in its entirety. It is so morally corrupt and a simple prop-up to advantage "the church" and its already bloated tax-payer subsidies, that it defies belief that even one public school would put their hand out for the money and "sell their soul" by employing religious staff. Look at public school charters, EEO principles and Codes of Conduct etc and it is obvious that favouring religious employees flies in the face of everything we stand for (and quietly many in churches would agree). If the unions were worth their salt they would have a campaign of naming and shaming public schools who partake! The $200 million dollars could be better spent on school counsellors or subsidising the poor with basic education expenses (or extending Gonski)!
